The most important question that you will ever ask is, "What must I do to be saved?"
Q. Who needs to be saved?
A. Everyone. Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Q. What is the penalty for sin?
A. Death. Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Q. Is there more than one way to obtain salvation?
A. No. If there were another way Jesus would not had to have suffered the cross. John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Q. Does God really love me?
A. Yes. He sent His Son to die for your sins. John 3:16,17 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Q. When should I accept Christ as my personal Savior?
A. Now, if you believe God is drawing you. You have no promise of tomorrow. Proverbs 27:1 - Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. II Corinthians 6:2 - (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Q. What must I do to be saved?
A. Confess to God that you are a sinner and need him to change your life. Believe that Jesus shed His blood and died on the cross (to save you from your sins) and rose bodily three days later, and with a desire for a new life of holiness in God, invite Jesus into your heart as your personal Savior. He has promised he will save you on these terms. Acts 16:30-31, "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Romans 10:9-10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt Believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Salvation is a free gift... paid in full by Jesus Christ himself! But like any gift, it is not yours until you accept it.
